As a pioneer of the recruitment advertising fraternity, Paul’s vast experience and dedication to providing the best possible solutions that deliver real recruitment results has fundamentally changed how recruitment is, and can be, delivered.
Paul left the product advertising industry when, in scrutinising the job advertising pages looking for a change in career direction, he spotted an ad for a Shift Engineer placed by a large corporate. The newspaper had managed to leave out the “f” in shift which Paul picked up as an unforgivable error and steered him to establish the country’s first specialist recruitment advertising agency.
As the recruitment advertising industry has grown and flourished, Paul evolved to develop the first online response handling and short-listing e-recruitment platform which was used by government parastatals like SARS and big business such as Nedbank. The platform won a myriad of awards including Sunday Times AMARAS and has encouraged technology innovation using job portals, social media platforms and using a clients’ own website to feature job ads.
Paul headed up the likes of AltoLevel, The Working Earth and JontiDigital before, in partnership with Ebony&Ivory, establishing JobsWorld,
Paul continues to ensure fast turnaround, innovation, personal service, and a pretty debatable game of golf.

Paul is a ‘hands-on’ ad man with a passion for developing and giving back to the South African advertising industry. He is known for bringing perspective, balance, integrity and wisdom to the table at an industry, client and agency level. His knowledge and know-how of above and below the line advertising, merchandising, digital and social media makes him a trusted strategic communications partner in the business of creativity. Over and above having worked in the USA as well as guest lecturing at various advertising schools, Paul has been a judge of many industry awards over the past three and a half decades. He has served on the boards of multiple Advertising and Media industry bodies and was the recipient of a special award at the 2014 MOST media industry function for “a selfless contribution to the broader media and marketing industry for over two decades”.
